George Bush's Latin America arch-nemesis, Venezuelan President Hugo Chavez, has embarked on a campaign of aggressive but necessary land reform. The country's land, like much of Latin America, is in the hands of a relative few elite families. I am sure that those on the right will condemn the process as the illegal theft of holy and private property. Those who do will not, of course, bother to ask how these folks got their hands on land in the first place.
