Pot is good!

So says pop star George Michael who tells that the world would be an "easier place to live" if cannabis were legalised.

Let's think about some recent events and consider what might have happened:

• 11 September 2001 - would Osama bin Laden have organised the attacks of that day if he were smoking reefer? Almost certainly not. It would have required a level of organisation that he undoubtedly would be incapable off.
• Illegal invasion of Iraq - would Bush and Blair have decided to attack Saddam had they been busy rolling spliffs on the White House balcony. Absolutely not but George might have eventually succumbed to a pretzel following an attack of the munchies.
