The current uproar in Pakistan is not about Islamism trying to take over it is about how a country, that was once a democracy, is tiring of the oppression of a military dictator who has bent and abused the country's constitution to retain power.
I still wonder what side we will take in this conflict if it continues to escalate. There is no evidence to suggest that we should not expect it to continue to escalate. It is only because Musharraf controls the army that he remains in power. That plus the fact that Commander Guy likes to call him "The General".
