Turkey is shelling Kurdish terrorist / freedom fighters, select only one, who have found safe haven in Iraqi territory. At roughly the same time three Turkish soldiers have been killed and others injured by a mine planted by members of the Kurdistan Workers Party (PKK). In the meantime the US government remains reasonably quiet on the matter and is keeping its fingers crossed. That should work out better than sending Conocoleezza Rice or "I'm a Big" Dick Cheney to calm down the parties involved.
