Out of sight, out of mind

Archaeologists in the City of Brotherly Love who are excavating the house used by George Washington as the presidential home when Philadelphia was the nation's capital have found a hidden passage which was used so that the President's guest would have to see the slaves that Washington kept to keep the household functioning.

It is good to know that the "Father of the Nation" was not ashamed of his status as an owner of human flesh and human souls.
