The state of Michigan's Liquor Control Commission has allowed the deposit charged on beer kegs to be tripled from 10 USD to 30 USD. Apparently folks weren't returning them because they could get more than 10 USD for them as scrap. When the hell was the last time they raised it? I hate to say this but the deposit on kegs was 10 USD back when I was at university. I won't tell you exactly when that was but we had to shell out 10 bucks as a deposit for a keg for the party we had when Agnew resigned as VP!
