Robert Gifford, the executive director of the Parliamentary Advisory Council for Transport Safety, wants the state to introduce psychometric tests as part of the examination for a driver's licence. I certainly hope that they intend to ensure that all of us, yes - me, who already have a licence are covered by a grandfather clause.
