Topsy turviness on the British political scene

Tony Blair, Prime Minister and the leader of the ostensibly left of centre Labour party is in such lock step with American conservatives that he warrants praise from arch-neocon Richard Perle. Union members are also expected to walk out on his speech at the TUC conference today.

Meanwhile David Cameron, leader of the right of centre Tory party, today criticises the White House for its "unrealistic and simplistic" world view and militaristic bent and said he was a "liberal conservative, rather than a neoconservative". Previously Cameron has flirted with touch-feeliness with his Adopt-a-Hoodie campaign and by cycling to work at the Palace of Westminster (even though his official car did follow behind).

I'm confused.

Fortunately Mrs. Thatcher soon put things right.
