I thought that the Decider(TM) would decide to decide not to support Paul Wolfowitz anymore now that we know he has a penchant for obscenities. I would be wrong. After a World Bank committee found that "Old Socks" had violated the terms of his contract the White House launched an all out world wide campaign to keep him in situ. The American Treasury Secretary Henry Paulson Jr. spent hours on the phone yesterday informing his counterparts across the globe that "these facts do not rise to the level of warranting dismissal". It must be great to work for Bush. No matter what you do you can't get sacked. No wonder all of his business ventures were abject failures.
Meanwhile Wolfie has opened up a front of his on and is declaring that the findings against him are "unbalanced and flawed"; much like the Commander Guy then.
UPDATE: the ad hoc committee's report to the World Bank board can be found here. It is pretty damning stuff.
