Whilst I am on the subject of standards

Let us talk about Paul Wolfowitz for a second. First the White House assumed of a stance of whatever Wolfie did it wasn't a sackable offence. Well the President of the World Bank is a public service position and those in public service must adhere to a higher ethical standard than the rest of us rather that a lower standard which is what the White House seems to believe. Despite your delusions of grandeur Mr. Bush the position is not to be handed out as a gift from the Emperor of the United States without any accountability!

Now they are taking the position that maybe, just maybe, they could accept it if Wolfie resigned but only if the Bank's board will stop picking on him. What is this; fucking third grade? Grow the fuck up. Wolfowitz's career is in tatters and it won't make one iota of difference if he resigns under a cloud or not. We will remember damn it! Yes indeed we will.
