Iran is a reasonably democratic state despite the complete nonsense that right wing critics spout about the country. One can even argue that, by the standards of the region, it is an exceptionally democratic state with only Turkey amongst its neighbours being more democratic. So should Iranian Kurds get their way and receive US financial and military aid in an attempt to overthrow the regime just where does that fit on the Freedom Agenda?
