The Republican leadership has moved quickly to strip Sen. Larry Craig (R - ID) of his important committee posts despite the fact that he is, as he has vociferously stated, innocent; his guilty plea being the kind of mistake anyone could have made. He is also banned from the men's' rooms in the Capitol building and has been reduced to cottaging in public conveniences in the nearest Metro station.
