It's good to be in charge

Executive pay at FTSE100 companies increased a measly 37% last year or 11 times the increase in average pay and 20 times the rate of inflation if you keep track of such things. Do they really believe that they add this kind of value or are they just enjoying their time in the insider's club where they get to approve each others pay packets? If you are interested I favour the second theory.
