Why is there never a "loony" right?

This story from the Washington Times claims that the "America's right-wing and Canada's 'loony left' have found common ground" in opposition the imaginary North American Union that Captain Codpiece and the leaders of the nations due north of and south of the US cooked up when they recently mess.

I guess I have to consider the source. If anyone knows "loony" it is the loony Moonie moonbats at the Times!
