It's about bloody time

Yesterday the Danish government finally apologised for the invasions of Britain and Ireland by Vikings over twelve hundred years ago. These invasions were unilateral, they did not have the support of the United Nations Security Council and were justified by a belief on the part of the Danes that sometime in the future the residents of the British Isles would develop weapons of mass destruction and threaten the residents of Jutland and the Danish islands.

Using this apology as a precedent I think you should pencil 20 March 3203 in your diary as the date on which the unfortunate and certainly cursed descendants of George Walker Bush will apologise for the illegal and doomed invasion of Iraq.

I don't have Sky so I haven't had a chance to watch Faux News's coverage of this but I am certain that the Danes have already been accused of being "cut and runners".
