No worries over new surveillance law

After extensive research (and a pint of Old Peculiar), I have come to the conclusion that the American people have nothing to fear from the new (no longer illegal) surveillance law rushed through Congress last week and joyously signed into law by Captain Codpiece.

Now why would I say that? It is because the law contains a carefully crafted oversight provision to ensure that there are no abuses of this authority by either Director of National Intelligence Mike McConnell or Attorney General (and Bush succubus) Alberto "Gone-zo" Gonzales. And who could be better placed to provide this oversight than Director of National Intelligence Mike McConnell or Attorney General (and Bush succubus) Alberto "Gone-zo" Gonzales. What a relief, eh?

You can sleep comfortably tonight knowing that these two fine gentlemen are loyally watching out for the essential and basic freedoms of the American people.
