Who's your daddy (or mummy)?

British children born through the use of donated sperm or eggs are to have that information noted on their birth certificates if recommended changes to reproductive laws go through. This is a difficult issue and it is hard to know what is the right thing to do. Under British law these children have a right to know the names of the donors if they so wish and I suppose noting this information on their birth certificates is a step in the right direction. I don't believe that the actual father's or mother's name will be noted and further research would be required on the child's part; if they wish to pursue their parentage.
