More on Thailand

According to the Bangkok Post the US reaction to the coup has, so far, been muted. State Department spokesman Gonzalo Gallegos is cited as saying: "We look to the Thai people to resolve their political differences in a peaceful manner and in accord with the principles of democracy and the rule of law".

Other countries including Britain, Australia, New Zeeland and Malaysia were more forthrightly critical. The European Union called for an immediate return to "democratic order".

I thought we were for democracy. I get so confused. Maybe the Decider (TM) is just busy clearing brush or eating pretzels.
