This famous quote is attributed to American civil war General William Tecumseh Sherman. He had it tough but he never had to face anything like this!

Speaking of the ten foot high marijauna plants that his troops are facing General Rick Hillier said:

"We tried burning them with white phosphorous - it didn't work. We tried burning them with diesel - it didn't work. The plants are so full of water right now ... that we simply couldn't burn them."

The article doesn't note whether he sounded dissappointed when he said it.
