The Noble OK woman who had called the police in the first place because she had snake in her birdhouse was quoted as saying "this was just a freak and tragic accident...and I just feel really bad for everyone involved". Well I'm sorry madam, I am sure that you deservedly feel awful but to call this an "accident" oversteps the mark. Even if police officers don't have the good sense not to fire weapons in a suburban neighbourhood simply to deal with a snake this still cannot be considered an accident. The fact that the dead victim is a five year old child who was fishing with his grandfather just makes the whole thing even more horrific.
There was a crime committed here and someone needs to be punished!
