GM food testing

This is a good step but GM foods have so permeated the US food chain that eating GM is probably unavoidable. Given what has recently come to light with unapproved and untested GM rice are organic foods even safe? If the testing finds problems do you think the government will stand up to the chemical industry and agribusiness? (You only have two guesses so answer carefully!)

Are there any labeling requirements in the states these days or are you blissfully unaware of what is in the food you buy?
