I think I may.
A hat tip to the Guardian's G2 section for pointing us in the direction of this invaluable book
. It helps to fill out those gaps in the English language where there just isn't a word for what you want to say. Forget Schadenfreude. Herein lie such valuable terms as:
Torschlusspanik (German) - the fear of diminishing opportunities as one gets older (literally: gate-closing panic)
Ichigo-ichie (Japanese) - the practice of treasuring each moment and trying to make it perfect (not to be confused with itchy gitchy goo as any child would tell you)
Pana po'o (Hawaiian) - to scratch your head in order to remember something
Nakhur (Persian): a camel that won't give milk until her nostrils are tickled
Read and learn!
