The actor, Sienna Miller, with whom I am reasonably unfamiliar, possibly because I haven't seen any of her films, has apologised to Pittsburgh for insulting it.
In a recent Rolling Stone interview she referred to the city, where she was filming at the time, as Shitsburgh. (I'd be careful Sienna, they have guns out there! )
Curious Google notes: A Google news search for "shitsburgh" returns only 4 links (3 British, 1 Canadian) whilst a search for "pittsburgh+siena" returns 241 links (mostly American). So the American press is reporting on the story and the offence to Pittsburgh without actually reporting what she said. Whatever happened to the first amendment? (Sorry. Silly question.)
However a news search for "shittsburgh" (I wasn't sure of the correct spelling) returns no links and the question "Did you mean: pittsburgh".
