Overheard in a pub in Richmond

About a week and half ago I was in Richmond on a glorious sunny autumn afternoon. We were in a pub for lunch. The table next to us was four young women, probably students. One was American and they were discussing her stay in Britain which she seems to have enjoyed. (I wasn't eavesdropping - the tables were jammed together and they were loud.) However towards the end of the conversation I overheard the following:
"I really like England. I've had a great time here but one thing I didn't expect was that so many places would be named after towns back home."

"Really. Which towns?"

"Lots. Like Mancester and Oxford."

Stunned silence.....

Well I never! Stranger things happen at sea.

I intended to leave a link but it's half a page.

Gooogle images search.
chart long island ireland.

You will also find Coney Island, there are one or two others but for the life of me I can't rememember their names.
