Surf's up!

A severe storm off Alaska last year created waves that travelled over 8000 miles and still had sufficient power to destroy a giant iceberg off Antarctica according to a recently released study.

Global warmer deniers look away now!

I quote Douglas MacAyeal, one of the study's authors:

"One of the things we're debating in the world right now is whether global warming might increase the storminess in the oceans. The question we then pose is: Could global storminess have an influence on the Antarctic ice sheet that had never been thought of?"
