They really know how to spot a threat

The US government is using its broad ranging new powers to help it keep track of those groups who are dangerous to American freedom. I, for one, will sleep safer at night knowing that the American Friend's Service Committee is under close surveillance while Richard Perle is walking around unmonitored.

Growing up in the countryside outside of Philadelphia many of my friends we Quaker and I got to know many more, including members of the AFSC, through anti-war and civil rights activism in the 70s. They would only be a danger to those who think love of mankind, discussion of ideas and questioning of those in power are a threat.

When can call this what it is, Nouveau Fascism, without fear of accusations of fear mongering (from the fear mongerers)?
