This post is primarily for blokes as we have a different relationship with the toilet than the ladies do.
When men go into the bathroom (English rather than American usage - ie the room with the bath in it) they do their bit and get out. Women tend to linger.
When women go into the toilet (English rather than American usage - ie the room with the toilet in it and generally a different room than that above) they do their bit and get out. Men tend to linger. We read: War and Peace (even if it takes two years) or a magazine too old for a doctor's surgery. But because men are dreamers they aspire to something more.
I think one such dreamer has found what he was looking for. A public toilet in Cornwall has sold for £25,000. It sits on National Trust property in an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty and is within a World Heritage Site. They say that the site was sold for development but I prefer to think of a solitary, reflective defecator lazily gazing out to sea as he (and it is a he!) enjoys his morning constitutional.
