Iran's top clerics may seem a bit old fashioned to sophisticated westerners like us but it is clear that they have not missed out on the internet revolution. If you are willing to travel to Qum you can now take courses from the newly formed Office of Religious Weblog Expansion. 300 clerics, writers and religious students have already enrolled!
I think this is an idea that the US government should be considering for its own purposes. There could be an office of blogging (blogice? offlog?) in the Department of Faith Based Charities.
In the meantime we could send some prominent Americans to Qum to learn from the Iranian masters. I would suggest we start with him, him, him, him, him and, uh,her. I know he's not a Yank but I think that this gentleman deserves to go as well. He just met some Catholics and I think he should keep branching out!
And if the American government just happens to bomb Qum whilst they are there, well, I am certain that all of them would be more than happy to lay their life down for the cause!
