For aficionados of this unusual treat there was sad news recently. Bruce Ruth, who started serving the "oysters" at Bruce's Bar in Severance Colorado 50 years or more ago, died at the age of 73 in August. I apologise for the delay but the news just made it across the big water.

I always thought these stories were apocryphal. The same delicacy(?) is known as Prarie Oysters elsewhere. Still the best stories are usually true ...
