The Decider's chances of get a new Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Act are being damaged by the fact that changes desired by the administration would hand US Attorney General and Bush succubus Alberto "Gone-zo" Gonzales greater arbitrary and extra-judicial powers. Even House minority leader John Boehner can see this has said that "at the end of the day, there has to be a way for our intelligence and counterintelligence agencies to collect data from known terrorists and we shouldn't let personalities get in the way of protecting the American people."
Mr. Boehner is exactly right when a personality is getting in the way of protecting the American people the personality should be sacked (or summarily executed if Bush is in that kind of mood) and then the legislative branch of government could get on with their job. This is what Boehner meant, right?
