I written about this before but it seems that our Eastern European friends still don't quite got the hang of democracy yet. Take this quote from Gyula Grosics, former keeper for the Hungarian national football team:
"One thing's for sure," he said, "this is not a democracy, it's a catastrophe. They just lie and cheat and lie. It's time to get rid of this government."
They just do not seem to understand the role of the politician in a modern democracy. His or her job is to get elected and stay that way. If this requires lying, cheating or stealing so be it! The electorate just has to get used to it. Capice?
