It was reported yesterday that the catholic Church in Colombia intend to "excommunicate a medical team who performed Colombia's first legal abortion on an 11-year-old girl, who was eight weeks pregnant after being raped by her stepfather."
No word as to what action the church intends to take against the stepfather.
Cardinal Alfonso Lopez Trujillo, the president of the Vatican's Pontifical Council for the Family, is quoted as saying that the girl had "fallen in the hands of evildoers". It is uncertain whether he was refering to her family or the doctors.
In a country with more than 50 murders annually per 10,000 of population apparently God os only interested if the so-called "murder" takes place before birth.
