More unintended irony

On the peerless website Fish Update* we find news that parents are striking back against the movement for politically correct food in schools. Mothers of students at Rawmarsh Comprehensive in South Yorkshire are apparently aiding their children by passing fast food meals (fish & chips, sausages, fizzy drinks, crisps et al) through the school fence from (this is the irony part) a neighboring cemetery. The school has taken such items off the lunchtime menu and out of the tuck shop.

From a slightly more mainstream source comes news of cease fire of sorts. The Times reports that

"Neil Beaumont, owner of Chubby’s, the sandwich shop where the women have been taking their orders, said today that he was trying not to take sides in the matter. But he added that he and his staff had received threats since the controversy erupted".

No words as to which side in the dispute the threats were from although I am sure that the North Yorkshire Constabulary have things well in hand.
