Via the inestimable Diary in The Guardian we find this story out of Eau Claire, Wisconin about America hating, terrorist squirrels attacking the graves of god fearing soldiers, stealing the American flags and destroying them. (Before the wing nuts have a chance I will note that Wisconsin is a blue state and Eau Claire is, well, French.)
The most recently proposed (and failed) constitutional amendment on flag burning had the text "the Congress shall have the power to prohibit the physical desecration of the flag of the United States". Should they manage to pass this in the future who will propose legislation allowing the torture and indefinite detention of any and all rodents who desecrate the flag now that Randy Cunningham (a primary sponsor of the amendment) is "retired"?
