It would appear that the US election season is well and truly underway (and the theme is FEAR). The Decider (TM) claims in his weekly radio address that the network of secret and illegal CIA run prisons contributed the prevention of another terrorist attack similar to that of 11 September 2001. He said "were it not for this program, our intelligence community believes that al Qaeda and its allies would have succeded in launching another attack against the American homeland".
This would be the same intelligence community that believed that Iraq possessed weapons of mass destruction and that there was an association between Iraq and al Qaeda. Reported by the same president who somehow believes that Cuba deserves membership in the "Axis of Evil".
I feel safer. Do you?
